Who's Behind Keeping Books LA?
Hi, My name is Irene. Growing up in Los Angeles my family always supported our local tiendas, restaurants and clothing stores. Those places made our communities authentic and diverse. My love for my culture has driven me to become a bookkeeper and share my knowledge.
A bit of my background:
For many years I worked managing a small local food spot in my hometown of Los Angeles. This little food shack on a well known Los Feliz street named Hillhurst Ave. was able to provide me firsthand education with a CPA, as I began to help run the restaurant. I learned bookkeeping, state taxes, reports and finances correctly. I continued this from 2015 to well now present day (my whole business).
In between, I maintained two jobs.
At the time I was also in the legal field (criminal, family and civil law firms). The legal experience amplified my knowledge in business contracts, financial/ legal jargon and LLC business structure as it was a service we provided.
I have been fortunate to have the knowledge and background I do today and aim to serve as many small diverse mom and pop shops as possible.
